Below are my latest works for my solo show at Studio 61 Gallery Leashaw nr Matlock, in July. I am absolutely loving the freedom of throwing ink at canvas and turning my studio into a mess! I have spent nearly a year working on townscapes which require detail and accuracy, which I also love, but these new pieces I have been able to let fly with texture ink and paint and use my emotion to create them. I took a piece of slate from the foot of a mountain and it has sat next to my paintings as inspiration. Snowdonia is a wonderful and awe inspiring place being at the summit was amazing and I hope that these works show the beauty of the area. I still have a couple more pieces to complete all very exciting!
