Number 25 of my Rattler series is Crossing at the Clyde. This man walking across the road at Kimberley really appealed to me as a painting the zebra crossing zooms your eye back and forth.
When I was at the talk the other week at DH Lawrence museum they showed the black and white photo below and the similarity with my photo taken last Easter was great, I love these lone figures going about their business. I am wondering what's in his bag is he going in the pub? Or back home....
